Beignet

Beignets at Tibby’s New Orleans Kitchen Aloma Avenue Winter Park.

Beignets were brought to New Orleans in the 18th century by French colonists and soon became a large part of home-style Creole cooking. That’s the history, now the facts, they taste incredible, light fluffy parcels of fried Choux dough literally smothered in powdered sugar and in our case served with some brandy cream sauce for dipping.

We had the single serving (3) but could easily have devoured the family size (7). We will know better next time even if we have to bring some home., wouldn’t that would be a hardship?
