Tap Room at Dubsdread 549 West Par Street Orlando.

With a heritage dating back to 1924, Dubsdread has been delighting guests with superb fresh fish dishes, prime cuts of meat, house made desserts and of course amazing burgers, to establish its rightful place as an Orlando favorite for many years and generations.

The Tap Room is located at the entrance to the golf club complex just of Edgewater Drive in College Park, the inside space is classically themed with lots of wood and leather booths and a great bar for those extended lunchtime conversations. But the patio is truly the place to hang out and really justifies it being the eight-time recipient of the “Best Outdoor Dining” as acclaimed by the Sentinel. The lineup of accolades for the Tap Room are exhausting, from Best Power lunch to the Best Burger to Dining Hall of Fame, the list of awards goes on and on.

Unbelievably, this was our first visit to the Tap Room at Dubsdread (Yeah, we know, how could we have overlooked it for so long?) so making up for lost time on this visit (We will be back) we went for

Prince Edward Island Mussels – steamed in white wine and garlic butter served with grilled artisan bread. PEI are our favorite mussels, sweet, succulent and had just the right amount of sauce to compliment the mussels but still allowing the PEI characteristics to shine through.

Steakhouse Burger – a full ½ pound burger, with jack cheese, bacon and crispy onion strings and A-1 horseradish sauce. No wonder they have won awards for their burgers as this one was cooked to perfection at a consistent medium rare, juicy and delicious. The A-1 and horseradish combination is a great idea and even better taste.

Southwest Par Burger – again a full ½ pound burger with pepper jack cheese, jalapeno, tortilla strips and housemade guacamole. As with the other burger we tried, consistently cooked to temperature, juicy and delicious and no stinting on the Jalapenos. Spicy and a party for your taste buds!

We substituted one side of Fries for some great onion rings and who could resist the chance to add Nueske’s Applewood smoked Bacon, in our opinion the true “King” of bacon!

The Tap Room at Dubsdread also have one of the best “Happy Hour “deals we have ever seen and all this from a restaurant on a Golf Course! The tag “Heritage” sometimes has its limitations but not here, as they cross the divide between traditional and modern with skill and dedication. Service is efficient, smooth and professional. All in all this is just our kind of place to hang out, we hope you make it yours and for many more years to come.
