Croissant Gourmet Café-Bakery – 120 E Morse Blvd Winter Park.
The litmus test for us on just how much we like a Restaurant or Café is how many times we return when not conducting a review or business meeting and there are a handful of such places in and around Winter Park that fit this criteria. One of those businesses is Croissant Gourmet on Morse Blvd just off Park Avenue. Ever since we moved to WP we have visited here at least twice a week, come rain or shine, hurricane or storm, and we are not alone. Regulars from every walk of life gather here and chat together to put the world to rights. Local celebrities like Michael (daddyman) and the Pugs, musicians, businessmen and women and even boat captains, plus many more, all know that this is the place in Winter Park for that little piece of France and some seriously delicious food and beverages. Everything is freshly baked each day so it’s not hard to understand why there is a steady stream of customers selecting baked treats to either eat in or take out, all expertly created by owner and Chef de Patisserie François Cahagne. Our picture shows a Chocolate Coco Rocher a perfect accompaniment to a cup of Julius Meinl Coffee and a superb combination of Dark or Milk Chocolate and Coconut ( We did not stop at only one !)
During this difficult time businesses have had to change how they operate to serve customers safely while making sure they comply with local regulations and health and safety codes of practice. In this regard Croissant Gourmet was one of the first to adopt limited occupancy in the Café and socially distanced tables for their sidewalk dining. Distancing signs on the floor remind customers to keep safely apart and all staff wear masks and sanitize high contact areas regularly. In addition elevated takeout, delivery, pickup and curbside delivery (Right Outside The Door) options have ensured no one need go without their Croissant Gourmet fix.
The Café has a great location just off Park Ave with counter style service and chilled display cases holding the pastry gems for your selection. The staff are amazing and will gladly deliver food and coffee safely to your table or vehicle.
Local businesses are having a hard time right now, and it would be impossible to support all of them no matter how much we all would like to, but we think Croissant Gourmet should certainly be on your list, so head over to this TRUE and authentic French Café/Bakery for Breakfast, Lunch, Delivery, Takeout, Pick up, Curbside or just grab a great cup of Julius Meinl Coffee, you will be glad you made the effort and you will be supporting a great local owner – operator.
