A Look Back at 2016.

Santa has left the building, the credit cards have been maxed out, time to reflect on some of our personal favorites from last year’s reviews.

Go to Favorite Restaurants – Earls Kitchen & Bar – Slate.

As regular visitors to both restaurants they make our job easy, always great service, great food and fantastic atmosphere.

Favorite Burger – The Whiskey.

After sampling so many burgers last year, it was a relief to find one that stood head and shoulders above the rest. The BLD at the Whiskey with a side of Bourbon BBQ sauce keeps us coming back for more.

Favorite Farm to Table – Boca Winter Park.

Marshall and his team at Boca have farm to table philosophy in their DNA and it shows. Boca have some of the best Bistro style food available, don’t miss out on this Park Avenue delight and neighborhood favorite.

Staff Meal

Favorite Casual Breakfast – Croissant Gourmet Winter Park.

You can find us here on most Saturday mornings sampling our favorite Croissant’s. Plenty of other breakfast options are available and don’t forget to take home some of their exceptional pastries.

Favorite Sandwich – Hot Krust – Georges Gourmet Cookies & Catering – Toasted.

With so many great choices we could not pick just one, so we narrowed it down to these three outstanding examples. All of them different in their own right but individually understand the importance of a quality product made from only the finest ingredients.

Favorite Coffee – Foxtail Coffee.

A great new place to get my caffeine fix. The Cortado is outstanding.

Foxtail 2

Favorite Guilty Pleasure – Peterbrooke Chocolatier.

Who doesn’t need an occasional chocolate fix, this is where we go for ours. They cover everything in chocolate!

PBC Pop

Favorite Farmers Market Purchase – Pesto Diva – Olde Hearth Bread.

Both of these Artisan suppliers offer a great range of the freshest foods. Fantastic on their own but you can always try them together.

Favorite Mexican – Pepe’s Cantina.

Amazing table side Guacamole, great Taco’s and they make fantastic Margaritas.

Avacado Cocktail

Favorite Seafood – Lombardi’s.

Whether for a casual lunch or to take home and cook yourself, the quality and freshness of Lombardi’s seafood cannot be beaten.

Lombardi F&C

Favorite BBQ – 4 Rivers.

Although this may seem an obvious choice, the consistency, quality and amazing flavors of John Rivers BBQ restaurants always puts a smile on our face.

Favorite Disney Springs Restaurant – The Boathouse.

No list would be complete without mentioning a Disney restaurant, this is our current favorite for everything from a cocktail out on the dock as the sun goes down, to fantastic waterfront dining.
