Croissant Gourmet Bakery – 120 E Morse Blvd Winter Park.
After a busy week sampling great food in and around Orlando, the perfect start to a lazy Saturday in Winter Park would not be the same for us without a trip to our regular weekend haunt, Croissant Gourmet.
Croissant Gourmet has a great location just off Park Avenue, this compact Gourmet Bakery has a few tables inside and counter style seating in the window to people watch, we have always thought the size adds to its charm. There are a few tables outside and they get occupied very quickly at busy times, such is their popularity.
The staff are amazing, Mike in particular has our Croissants ready to go and the coffee poured even before we get through the door (are we creatures of habit?). The staff will gladly deliver food and coffee to your table and for such a small café the service is outstanding. We always get a cheery “Bonjour” from François the proud owner of Croissant Gourmet and we always attempt a suitable French response (but fail miserably).
We normally turn up not too early in the morning, but before the Winter Park throngs arrive and as they open at 7am a perfect choice for the early riser, you may even be able to park right outside for bakery pick up or a relaxing breakfast.
You could easily overlook Croissant Gourmet as its façade is not imposing, but do yourself a BIG favor, skip the big brand names and head over to this TRUE and authentic French Bakery for Breakfast, Lunch, Take out, or just a Coffee (It evolves as the day unfolds). It won’t break the bank and you will be glad you made the effort.
