At the event Mike Lombardi talked with passion about sustainability and love of the industry, he outlined a brief snapshot of the family history, in that Lombardi’s is a third-generation retail and wholesale Premium Seafood company, founded by Tony Lombardi Sr. who started his seafood career as a deckhand on the Tampa shrimping fleet in the early 1950s. For many years, the company occupied a warehouse on the corner of Orange Avenue and Orlando Avenue but moved to the new location on Fairbanks Avenue in June 2015. This gave them the opportunity not only to display their vast array of amazing fresh seafood but also to try a new venture the Lombardi Seafood Café. Lombardi’s knows fish, just listen to Mike Lombardi and you will be left in no doubt as to the passion he and his family have for delivering only the finest quality seafood to customers of every source. He has great vision and excitement for the future of the family business with some amazing plans, not only for the development of the Seafood Café but for the whole of the Lombardi Operation. A real “Fish Tale”.
Keep checking back for more developments and news from the event and on the Lombardi journey.
